Spring Clean Your Kitchen

Six Steps to Keep your Kitchen Clean and Make your Oven Sparkle

The kitchen is often the hub of the house where family and friends congregate to enjoy their breakfast, lunch, dinner or a particular occasion, while catching up over recent events and any exciting gossip around the table!

Keeping a kitchen clean can Spring Clean Your Kitchen a challenge when you have a room in the house that is used so often but we have put together the following checklist so that you can save time and money when you choose Astonish.

One of our best selling products, Astonish Oven & Cookware Cleaning, is still a staple in many family homes more than 40 years on. Although you do need to use a little elbow grease with this product, the results are well worth the effort as it will leaves your oven clean and shiny. Better still, unlike other similar products on the market there is no over powering smell and no need to wear gloves!

So step one…

All you need to do is apply with a damp cloth or nylon scouring pad over the oven surface and any grills or griddles that you feel need some extra attention, rub well and wipe clean. The results are definitely worth the effort! This product is a mild abrasive (part of the secret formula!) so just be a little careful when you’re tackling a delicate surface.

Step two…

A relatively recent addition to the Astonish family, Grease Off Spray & Wipe is a powerful degreaser with the natural cleaning power of baking soda, ideal for cooker hoods, tiles, sinks, pans, griddles and other grease prone surfaces. Simply spray and wipe, for those tougher deposits leave for 1-2 minutes before wiping clean.

Step three…

For hard surfaces in the kitchen, there is no better product than our Antibacterial Cleanser. Giving you the absolute certainty that all work areas are germ free and ready for food preparation for the whole family, simply spray, leave for 5 minutes for complete disinfection and wipe clear. It couldn’t be simpler.

Step four…

As a great all-rounder, Astonish Kitchen Cleaner can be used every day. With a powerful cleaning action to get rid of tough kitchen grease and grime it delivers exceptional results, and leaves a clean fresh lemon and grapefruit scent. Perfect for a quick clean before people arrive, this versatile trigger spray is a handy product to have under the sink for all occasion.

Step five…

Cooker hobs can be tricky if they are left for any length of time. All that fat and grease, plus spills and splashes and you’ve got a nightmare on your hands. That’s why we created the Hob Cream Cleaner. Just squeeze it onto a clean damp cloth and wipe gently in a circular motion. You will see it coming clean before your eyes. The cream cleaner also conditions the surface to build up a protective layer to make your job a little simpler next time you come to tackle the troublesome hob.

Step six…

The final piece of the kitchen jigsaw has to be the floor. Often the first room you walk in to in the house, mucky boots and shoes – plus dirty paws – can cause a real headache. Take a bucket of warm water and add approx. 1 ½ caps of the Astonish Floor Cleaner to your bucket. Now ring out the mop head and apply in figures of eight to the floor, remove excess liquid and leave to dry.

Before you know it you will have a kitchen floor that you can eat your dinner off – although we wouldn’t recommend it.

And there you have it, a kitchen that you can be proud of in just six simple steps and remember, as the Astonish range of cleaning products has a typical RRP of just £1, you can save some pennies on your weekly shop.
