There is nothing quite like a long, hot soak in the bath. Surrounded by scented candles and possibly a cheeky glass of something fizzy to help you relax and take away the stresses and strains of the day. Hmmm, bliss.

In complete contrast, there is nothing worse than going to turn on the taps to find soap scum and hairy bristles clinging to the sides in a tidal wave of dirt. Yuck!

Showers can be just the same, as can sinks, and let’s not even get started on the toilet. There seems to be no end to the misery when it comes to the many opportunities for grime and germs to hide in a bathroom.

If, like many, you have a family that squirts shower gel, fires toothpaste and generally leaves a grubby mess behind them when they have finished their personal grooming sessions then fear not. We are here to give you some handy hints that will help you to turn the headache of cleaning the bathroom into a breeze.

Let’s start with the bath. Here at Astonish we have developed a range of specialist products that are clearly labelled so there is no doubt about their intended purpose. Enter stage right, our Bathroom Cleaner (we did say it was obvious!).

Simply spray the cleaner around the bath and leave for one to two minutes, time to do the shower in the meanwhile . . . like something out of Charlie’s Angels – turn on the shower and blast all the surfaces with water. Turn off the shower and spray immediately with a light misting of our Daily Shower Cleaner (yes, again, does what it says on the trigger spray) covering all surfaces and leave to dry, easy. Back to the bath now the Bathroom Cleaner has done its handy work, wipe clean with a damp cloth and rinse. Take a step back and admire your handy work.

There’s just no getting away from it. No matter how many times you switch on your bathroom extractor, unsightly mould will raise its ugly head. Help is on hand in the form of our Mould & Mildew Remover. Quick and easy to use, simply spray onto your bathroom tiles, grout, sinks, plug holes and plastic shower curtains to remove even the toughest mould and black mildew stains. Did we mention its also Good Housekeeping Institute Approved? So, its not just saying its great, lots of other people are too!

It’s then on to the taps. Keeping them clean and shiny can be a right pain! It doesn’t matter where you live, limescale seems to have a habit of following and that is why we developed our Ultimate Limescale Remover (no comments needed). Spray onto any problem areas including taps and shower head and leave for approximately one to two minutes, wiping clean with a damp cloth and rinsing with warm water. Done.

Now the loo. Never usually a favourite task it has to be said but it’s not really that difficult – just not the most pleasant of jobs. You may want to wear gloves for this one, lift the lid spray our Multi-Surface Cleaner with Bleach directly onto the seat and surrounding area and wipe immediately. Next, take a toilet brush and give the bowl a good scrub – getting right to the bottom.

Then, for that deep clean and hard to reach stains, drop in one of our Astonish Toilet Bowl Cleaner Tablets, which can be used to remove stains and limescale deposits that appear below the waterline, as well as deodorising the toilet.

One final wipe over and you’re good to go (pardon the pun!).

Now for the tiles and mirrors. Sometimes it can be difficult to leave these smear free, so bring some kitchen roll with you or a lint free cloth. Spray and wipe clean, buffing to a shiny finish. Perfect.

It may seem like you have a mountain to climb when you first enter the bathroom after someone has used it but if you follow our handy hints and tips you should be back to bathing in luxury in no time.

Now where did we put that rubber duck!
