Many of you will have read the Astonish story and will know that more than 40 years ago Alan Moss, the founder of the business, travelled the length and breadth of the country to showcase the #AstonishingResults that our Oven & Cookware paste delivers.
It wasn’t just about the quality of the product or that it was affordable, it was also the non-harmful or toxic, cruelty free, vegan and vegetarian credentials that caught the attention of shoppers. Before long, it took its position as a best in class addition to the household cleaning category.
An established brand
Becoming an established product and therefore a recognisable brand, we set out to develop our range and this would see us add more than 60 specialist cleaning items to our collection. Employing our own chemists, we found ways of maintaining our values while meeting with the needs of our customers.
Shoppers soon caught on to the #AstonishingResults that can be achieved with Astonish blasters, sprays, creams and paste. Whatever the challenge, whether it is kitchen or bathroom, we would have a product that was as good as, if not better, than our competitors.
Maintaining our values
Today, we follow the same values and retain our position as a manufacturer of cruelty free cleaning products that are non-toxic, vegan and vegetarian. What matters just as much is that they are still best in class.
So much so in fact, that our famous Oven & Grill Specialist Cleaner & Sponge has been named Household Cleaning Product of the Year. This is a big deal and means that more than 10,000 shoppers have chosen our paste from all other household cleaning products in the category.
Far from taking this in our stride, we were bounding around the office and whooping at the top of our voices! We are sure the neighbours had something to say, but that’s the way we do business. We celebrate our successes without taking ourselves too seriously.
It’s a team effort as we work towards being named the UK’s number one consumer friendly oven cleaner.
There’s more to come
There are lots of plans in the pipeline to support our growth as our fan base increases and more people put our products to the test. We can’t thank you all enough and would like to encourage you all to share the #AstonishingResults you get from our range.
This year has been one of celebration with the Product of the Year accolade and our first ever TV advert. The timings couldn’t have been better! We will also announce significant investment in our production facilities that will make sure that when you want an Astonish product it is ready and waiting.
Many brands try to position their business as friendly, but we have a real family feel here at Astonish and we consider our shoppers and fans to be an extension of that. We hope that you will join us on our journey as we continue to create best in class products with all the right ingredients.
We are very much looking forward to 2020 and know that it will become a significant chapter in the Astonish story.
